WellU scientific council and WellU scientific partners

Is a group of specialists working with WellU – the producer of the Larens brand. By sharing their knowledge, experience, the results of their research in the field of health, cosmetology, and pharmacy, they supervise the processes of creating Larens products. Starting from the selection of active ingredients, through creating the recipes, deciding on the spectre and kind of properties, until they reach the final product whose recipients are the clients.

Prof. Ph. d. Alina Sionkowska

Polish chemist, professor of physical chemistry and physicochemistry of polymers. She completed research internships at the Institute of Dental Biomaterials in Stockholm (1997–1998, 2000–2003), Collagen Research Group, University of Bristol (1999–2000), University of Cambridge (1998) and the University of Genoa (2000–2004). She specializes in photochemical transformations in collagen and in mixtures of natural and synthetic polymers. Since 2013, she has been the head of the Department of Biomaterials and Cosmetics Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She obtained her habilitation for the dissertation entitled Influence of low and high molecular weight substances on photochemical transformations in collagen and chitosan, defended in 2006. In 2012 she obtained the title of professor.

RNDr. Pavel Suchánek

Nutritionist, researcher at IKEM (Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine), academic lecturer. Doctor of Natural Sciences, specializing in human physiology. Author and co-author of over 50 articles, several scientific publications, several chapters in four monographs. His expertise is regularly accepted at national and international industry conferences. He cooperates on international projects. Sports nutrition instructor for UEFA A coaches and other coaching licenses, trainer of sports doctors for the Football Association of the Czech Republic (FAČR). Consultant and co-founder of the FitBee nutritional consulting company and the Institute of Dietology and Nutrition.

WellU Research and Development Manager Katarzyna Adamiak

Co-owner of the biotechnological company Innobio Sp. z o.o., PhD student at the Faculty of Chemistry at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, at the Department of Chemistry of Biomaterials and Cosmetics (implementation doctorate), graduate of the Medical University of Gdańsk, the Faculty of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine. She is currently researching collagen material for use in tissue engineering and cosmetology. She monitors clinical trials, is a speaker at scientific symposia and industry conferences, the author of numerous scientific publications and a participant in scientific projects. She deals with the development and implementation of new technologies, creating cosmetic recipes and health-promoting preparations.

CEITEC (Central European Institute of Technology)

One of the most modern and most important research centres in Europe. Created in 2011 on the solid base of the six largest Brno’s universities and research institutes of a long history. It focuses mainly on the environmental sciences, advanced materials, and nanotechnologies.
